10 MUST WATCH MOVIES FOR KIDS, BEFORE GROW UP!

With the endless array of TV, Netflix, Amazon prime & lots of streaming service and movie options out there. It’s hard to pick a flick that the whole family will love (you included). Well, bicker no more. From The Karate Kid to The Incredibles, we’ve made the decision-making easy with a definitive list of must-see movies for kids under 13. So let’s get that family movie night started! Grab the popcorn and keep scrolling. At last, we have a secret t tell you, so for that read till the end.

1:The Lion King (1994): 

With the perfect structure of storytelling, “The Lion King” is the first Disney animated featured film not based on an existing story. In another sense, it is based on half the stories in classical mythology, spectacular African savannah. It tells the tale of the birth, childhood and eventual manhood of Simba, a lion cub. The cub’s birth is announced in the opening sequence of the movie, called “The Circle of Life,” which is an evocative collaboration of music and animation to show all of the animals of the African veld gathering to hail their future king. The cute little cub is held aloft from a dramatic spur of rock, and all his future minions below hail him, in a staging that looks like the jungle equivalent of a political rally. Being a Disney film it not only grows over $968 million but also won an Oscar for the best original song, a golden globe& the best motion picture. They have recreated this movie in 2019 again but not in animation anymore. 2: The Incredibles (2004):

This film shows a particular universe, a battle between good and evil. Superheroes are strong & distractive that works against them in society. That’s why they live like an imposter in between people. However “BOB PARR” finding an antidote to the normal life. He has already lived over 50 years & saved the world along with this family using their powers. It won 2 Oscars. One for best-animated feature & other for best sound editing. 3:Home alone (1990): 

This movie has 6 parts but the first one is the most iconic. 10 years old Cavin is an angel face trouble maker. His large & rich family went on Chrismas holiday & left him home alone. Then next guess what had happened?…… He enjoys his freedom of being alone at home&made traps to scare these silly burglars away. This movie earns $1470 million in total. But if your child is too naughty & takes inspiration from movies. Then be careful, your child might do this movie with you in real life. that could be a stressful situation. just kidding nothing will happen, but if this happens, we know you love telling story about your kid’s naughty behaviour with your friends. 4:Finding Nemo (2003):

Now I have to to go to fantastic Australian water to see animal there. Nemo is a fish, adored &protected by his father Marlin, cause he almost died when he was a baby. Since Nemo was kidnapped by divers& ends up living in an aquarium in Sydney, his father Marlin begins a dangerous adventure looking for him net to Dory, a fish with short term memory loss. At last Nemo & his friends came up with an idea to escape that aquarium. It taught us anything is possible if you persevere. This movie is the sixth hight grossing movie of all time. It won an Oscar as well. 

5: E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial (1982):   

If you are a Bollywood fan & ever wondered from where the “Koi Mil Gaya” aka jadu”s inspiration came from? This is your answer.

A science-fiction fantasy drama with humour and soul, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial is the heartwarming story of pure friendship between a lonely boy and a marooned alien.

This Si-Fi movie shows the close encounter of Elliot with a lost Elliot E.T. After this they became so closed friend that it creates a psychic connection between two characters. After being caught & held in prison by the government Alian manages to escape with E.T.&here is the most iconic biking scene of all time. 6: Toy Story (1995) :

“Toy Story” creates a universe out of a couple of kid’s bedrooms, a gas station, and a stretch of suburban highway. Its heroes are toys, which come to life when nobody is watching. Its conflict is between an old-fashioned cowboy who has always been a little boy’s favourite toy and the new space ranger who may replace him. The villain is the mean kid next door who takes toys apart and puts them back together again in macabre combinations. And the result is a visionary roller-coaster ride of a movie. 7: Harry Potter&The Sorcerer’s Stone (2001) : 

Based on the novel of J.K. Rowling ”Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” is a red-blooded adventure movie, dripping with atmosphere, filled with the gruesome and the sublime, and surprisingly faithful to the novel. A lot of things could have gone wrong, but none of them has: Chris Columbus’ movie is an enchanting classic that does full justice to a story that was a daunting challenge. The novel by J.K. Rowling was muscular and vivid, and the danger was that the movie would make things too cute and cuddly. In this movie, harry potter has gone into a wizardry school to meet his new best friend Ron & Hermione. Furthermore, he found everybody knew him because when he was a baby he survived the killing curse of a wizard who must not be named. It was a huge box office hit earns over $974 million. 8: Chiller Party (2011): 

This is one of the great movies on Bollywood/Hindi film industry for children. The film opens with each child character being individually introduced through their traits, helping you familiarise with the Chillar Party from Chandar Nagar society. When Fatka enters the society as domestic help with his mutt-mate Baidu, after the initial friction, the boy and his dog become inseparable members of the kiddo gang. The reason Chillar Party connects with you instantly is that it is honest and has its heart in the right place. The child actors are neither sugary sweet nor cacophonously cranky. They are pleasantly natural and absolutely believable. The chemistry and charm of the society kids bring back memories of Mani Ratnam’s Anjali (1990). Every kid in Chillar Party has an interesting characterisation that gives them a unique identity. 9: Taare Zameen Par (2007) : 

Some of you might have remembered your cry after watching this movie. Have you?  Well, we can vividly remember our cry. 

This Bollywood iconic is a story of ‘Taare Zameen Par’ is about eight-year-old Ishaan Awasthy who suffers from dyslexia. He has failed the 3rd grade twice now, and things aren’t getting any better. Ishaan complains that the words on pages ‘dance’ and writing and spelling are terrible. Despite this, he has an abnormal inclination towards art and successfully creates captivating paintings. His parents and teachers fail to realise his problem of dyslexia and send him off to boarding school with the accusation of insolence towards schoolwork. Things only became worse at boarding school; he slips into depression and misses his mother. Fortunately for Ishaan, a new art teacher joins the boarding school and re-habilitates the young boy so that he may legitimately compete with fellow classmates. Taare Zameen Par is so compelling because it evokes the emotions of a scared little boy who does not understand his place in life. No matter how hard he tries, he keeps walking into the same wall, his struggle and bravery to face the world is truly inspiring. Ishaan is the character who stood out the most, child artist Darsheel Safary accurately portrayed every nuance of a gifted child who suffers from such humiliation, trauma and torture. 

This is a must-watch film for you & your kid. 

10: Stanley Ka Dabba (2011): 

This is one of the simple Bollywood films. But sometimes a simple story touches our heart better than any creative story. This is a story of Schoolboy Stanley, who does not carry lunch, (cause he is an orphan), which is noticed by a teacher who forces kids to share their food with him. He soon warns Stanley that he must get a lunch box if he wants to attend school.
